(Spoilers) How to unlock all characters in Cancelin Basement (Updated to God Scream)

Cancelin Basement: God Scream has 16 characters, each with different stats.

Cancelin: Has normal damage, normal-sized mana, and normal range. He starts with Jack's Dice, which allows him to trade or obtain another item from the shop (unlocked by default).

Cake Maker Cancelin: Has standard damage, normal-sized mana, and normal range. He can withstand 12 hits (Reach floor 2 to unlock this character).

Demon Cancelin: Has high damage, a large amount of mana, and short range. When hit, his damage increases slightly. (Reach floor 3 to unlock this character).

Corpse Cancelin: Has normal damage, low mana, and extremely long range. The mana he throws bounces everywhere. (Complete the game with Cancelin to unlock this character).

The Lost One: Has high damage, normal-sized mana, and normal range. He can only withstand one hit, but clearing a room of enemies gives him a shield that can withstand one hit. (Complete the game with Cake Maker Cancelin to unlock it.)

- Cancelin Skeleton: Has very high damage, normal-sized mana, and normal range. The Cancelin Skeleton doesn't move, so its soul carries it. Don't worry, it has plenty of health and heals 1 random point when passing through doors. (Complete the game with Demon Cancelin.)

- Mommy: Has normal-to-high damage, low mana, and long range. Mommy doesn't shoot, but her fetus, attached to an umbilical cord, does. When fired, the baby will emerge. And if it hits enemies, it will deal a lot of damage. The baby, when emerging, shoots mana, but won't deal much damage. The ideal is to eliminate it repeatedly and hide it among enemies. (Complete the game with Corpse Cancelin to unlock it.)

- The Little Witch: Has normal-sized mana, low damage, and normal range. The Witch will charge her wand upon clearing a room of enemies, causing it to fire an extra, slightly smaller, mana ball. This can be applied up to 3 times. The wand returns to 0 when you take damage. Also, the Witch starts with the Astral Book item (See the shop item devlog to learn what it does). (Beat the game with The Lost One to unlock it.)

***Eternal Characters***

With God Scream, eternal characters arrived. These are the same character but with different mechanics or unique features. To unlock one, you have to do the following:

-Choose the character you want to bless

-Buy the red key for 30 coins in the shop

-Go to the Deep Mines and defeat Lord Devil

-After that, a red door will open. Enter it, touch the star, and you'll have the eternal character.

(Note: The menu doesn't show their stats, just a simple description. I'll tell you what they do and leave the description in parentheses.)

Here's what eternal characters do.

-Cancelin: Starts with 3 random items. Normal damage, normal range, normal mana size. (He likes random things.)

-Cancelin Pastry Chef: Has 50 health and loses health every second. Taking damage will remove 10 health instead of 1. The Dog Food upgrade gives 10 more health instead of 1. Clearing rooms heals quite a bit. Going through doors heals between 2 and 3. Starts with Jesus' Wings. High damage, normal range, normal mana size. (Full-throttle health)

-Demon Cancelin: Starts with Jesus' Wings. He has the ability to turn into a shadow, which will make him immortal and leave a cross attached to him. When the effect ends, the cross returns to him, and he will deal massive damage to enemies he touches. Normal damage, normal range, normal mana size. (Punishes bad guys with darkness)

-Corpse Cancelin: Instead of his counterpart having an extremely long range, this one has an extremely short one. Very high damage, very short range, normal mana size. (A clean punch)

-The Lost: Starts with Jack's Dice just like normal Cancelin. He has less shielding, meaning he now recharges after clearing three rooms of enemies. But he has the unique feature of starting with 55 coins and 42 keys, allowing him to become strong extremely quickly. High damage, normal range, normal mana size. (Dice, money, lots of keys, but less protection)

-Skeleton Cancelin: He finally moves on his own and no longer depends on the soul, because the soul has grown tired of him and is now hostile. The soul will chase you and pounce. You can use this to your advantage by having it rush at enemies, dealing massive damage. If you touch the soul, you'll become The Lost One for the entire room, making you only last one hit. Be careful! Your health limit resets to 1 when you become The Lost One, so dodge carefully. High damage, normal range, normal mana size. (Run)

-Mami: Starts with Jesus' Wings. Mommy can't shoot yet, but she's no longer dependent on her umbilical cord because she's no longer pregnant. The baby is on the ground, and you can grab it and throw it at enemies, dealing a lot of damage. To attack again, you'll have to go to the baby where it fell and throw it again. Very high damage, long range, normal baby size. The baby's size also increases like mana. (She's a bad mother. Don't be like her.)

-The Little Witch: Starts with Super Pills. She no longer uses magic. She can't get upgrades, and the only way to increase stats is with items or pills. Pills are the main way to increase stats. She has the advantage of finding pills almost all the time. Pro tip: You can get upgrades if you buy her from the store. Normal damage, long range, normal mana size. (I owe the magic to taking drugs.)

If you ask me, my favorite is Eternal Demon Cancelin, because it's satisfying to tear through enemies and then finish them off.

 My second favorite is Eternal Skeleton Cancelin, because it puts so much strain on you, and one mistake can drop your health back to 1.

My last favorite is the Normal Lost, because it requires a lot of skill.
